Stores at the Challenge Trophy Camporee.

There are 3 types of Stores at the CTC that are Sponsored by 3 different Groups, and the money generated goes to specific Scouting budgets, as described below in the description of each store.

Please ensure all attendees are aware of the Stores available at the CTC so they can bring sufficient funds to purchase some great souvenirs.

Stores in alphabetical order are as follows,

Babcock-Hovey Trading Post – Sponsored by the Babcock-Hovey Alumni Association

This store is located in at the Shenandoah Shelter just North of the Walking Bridge.

Hours: – Target

Friday – 9 pm to 11 pm

Saturday – 5 am to 11pm

Sunday – 5 am to close

BH Trading Post sells Babcock-Hovey and Scouting items, as well as snack food, hot and cold drinks.

Where does the $ Go:

The profit generated at the BH Trading Post is used to support Camp Babcock-Hovey. Profits in the past have gone to upgrading the Scoutcraft Shelter, renovating the trading post, building smaller picnic shelters, and various program items for camp.

CTC Stores – Sponsored and run by Challenge Trophy Camporee Staff

There are 2 CTC locations at the Camporee, as follows,

Main CTC Store is indoors in Eagle Lodge.  

Hours: – Target

5 to 9pm Friday evening and 9 to 5pm Saturday

CTC Outpost Tent – The 2nd CTC Store location is South of the Walking Bridge near 1st Aid. Look for the white pop up Tents.

Hours: – Target

Saturday – 9am to 10pm (but closed 5:00 to 6:30pm for supper),

Sunday – 8:30am until approximately 10am

At the CTC Stores you may purchase CTC Patches, Caps, scarfs, older CTC Ribbons, etc.   The items are sold at a reasonable price while supplies last.

The store also offers snack food and cold drinks at a reasonable price.

We have few “older” full sets that are getting rare.   The prices are a little higher and when they are gone, they are extinct in the Stores Inventory.

Where does the $ Go:

100% of the funds generated goes directly to the CTC Budget the year of the CTC. These funds enable us to keep the Registration Fees low years after year.

For example:

The 2016 Registration Fees are the same as the fees from 4 years ago. The CTC Store sales make this all possible….

Historical Society Store:

The Store is located just outside of BH’s Trading Post.

Hours: – Target

Saturday – 9 to 5pm

The Historical Society sell scouting items that are surplus inventory.

Where does the $ Go:

The profits generated at the Historical Society is used to preserve Scouting History for future generations to see.
